Life is never dull at my sister Darla's house, especially when Jordan (daycare boy/Rhya's accomplice) is around. Here was just one of yesterday's eventful moments:
Rhya: "Mommy, come here. I show you something!"
Darla hurries into the back room.
Rhya: "A monster went potty in the crib!"
Seeing the empty humidifier next to Brielle's soaked pack'n'play, Darla deduces that the entire jug of water has been poured onto the sheets.
Darla: "The monster needs to wear diapers from now on. How do you think we can dry out the mattresses?"
You've got to hand it to Rhya and Jordan--they figured out how to wrangle the two mattresses out of the pack'n'play and into the living room to dry. You also have to hand it to Darla for keeping calm and immediately generating a solution. Parenting really requires thinking on your feet!
Where was I? Standing in the corner, stifling gales of laughter. It's always funnier when it's not your kid!

Ha! Oh boy can spring come soon enough to re channel this mischievous energy?
ReplyDeleteToday brought spaghetti noodles all over the floor because I told Rhya we could make noodle chains and she beat me to it. It also brought a toilet FULL of toilet paper cause they thought they should use up some from the bag.
Oh what else? Can't forget the dining room floor covered in tissue paper just cause it's fun to empty the bag.
ha! the nerve of that naughty monster!
